WARREN GATEWAY PARK & TRAILHEAD

Warren Gateway is one of the first completed trailhead parks along the Joe Louis Greenway. The four-acre park provides direct access to the greenway trail, and includes a community pavilion, children's playground, outdoor workout equipment, and MoGo bike rental station.

A public plaza and gateway park on the Joe Louis Greenway in Detroit, featuring a community gathering space and a bronze statue of boxing legend Joe Louis.

THE CONRAIL SPUR TRAIL

The Conrail Spur Trail follows a former rail corridor across Detroit's west side, providing a continuous off-street path through several neighborhoods. As part of the Joe Louis Greenway, it connects parks, residential areas, and community spaces while linking to other sections of the regional trail network.

The Riverfront and Dequindre Cut segment connects the Detroit Riverwalk with the Dequindre Cut Greenway, linking the riverfront to Eastern Market and nearby neighborhoods. Along the way, it passes parks, public spaces, street art, and some of the city's most popular destinations.

DEQUINDRE CUT

The Dequindre Cut is a popular, two-mile-long urban greenway and non-motorized path in Detroit that sits 25 feet below street level. This paved trail seamlessly links the historic Eastern Market district to the Detroit Riverfront.

WILLIAM G. MILLIKEN STATE PARK

William G. Milliken State Park and Harbor is Michigan's first urban state park, providing a 31-acre green oasis located directly on the Detroit Riverwalk. Situated just east of downtown Detroit, it blends modern outdoor recreation with wildlife conservation by utilizing a restored wetland ecosystem to filter urban stormwater runoff before it enters the river.

RALPH C. WILSON PARK

Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park is a transformed, 22-acre waterfront public space on the Detroit Riverfront featuring a play garden, a water garden, and a sports pavilion. Opened on October 25, 2025, and backed by an $80 million project, the park sits along the west riverfront between downtown and the Ambassador Bridge.

VERNOR / SOUTHWEST

The Vernor / Southwest segment runs through Southwest Detroit, connecting Clark Park, Historic Fort Wayne, and the Gordie Howe International Bridge. The Jefferson Avenue portion is open today, while neighborhood connections are funded and will extend the trail deeper into Southwest Detroit.
